We’re very proud to announce that LCF has been awarded a score of 54 out of a possible 55 in UK Community Foundations‘ recent Quality Accreditation (QA) assessment, and have been rated as ‘exemplar’ across a wide range of criteria.
The award follows a framework closely aligned with Charity Commission standards and reviews the performance of every Community Foundation across the country against 11 core areas of activity.
Independently assessed by Ideas to Impact and conducted every 3-4 years, our report involved a series of interviews with our CEO and selected staff, and an inspection of the policies and processes integral to our organisation.
From grant-making to good financial management, governance to proactive business planning, the assessment ensures we meet set standards. We are therefore delighted to report that LCF’s processes have been deemed exemplary – the highest possible rating – and the assessor noted 17 examples of ‘excellent practice’. This provides our supporters with the reassurance that we will handle funds and relationships with the greatest professionalism.
The report praised LCF for progress made since the last QA assessment in 2013, in particular around the current strength of our board, and for our knowledge around needs and impact in Leeds that has informed the priorities of The Leeds Fund.
After much hard work from our staff team, we’re extremely pleased to have been awarded such a high mark, reflecting LCF’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards across all areas of our work.
