Leeds Community Foundation connects people who want to make a real difference to our city.
We have a lot to be proud about in Leeds: a vibrant historic city, full of opportunity, thriving industry, good schools and universities, and beautiful parks. However, not everyone has access to these opportunities.
Thousands of charities and voluntary groups across the city work tirelessly to address these inequalities, and help their communities. Leeds Community Foundation invests in these groups to support Leeds now and in the future. We do this by distributing grants, convening debates, sharing advice: we are a catalyst for positive change in Leeds.
Leeds Community Foundation relies on the generosity of businesses and individuals who care about their city; who want to ‘give something back’. We also work with national and local funders as partners, using our local knowledge to maximise the impact of funding which we administer on their behalf
Together we aim to create a city of opportunity for all.
The UK Community Foundations Network
There are 46 Community Foundations across the UK which make a difference by bringing together local philanthropists with dynamic local organisations and community groups who need funding and other resources. Founded in the heart of local communities, we work with donors, large and small, to make sure their gift has the greatest impact. To find out more, please visit the UK Community Foundations website
