Employment is the cornerstone of stability in many of our lives but for some people, life chances create a range of barriers to accessing meaningful job opportunities. In response to this, LCF has launched The Leeds Employability Partnership which aims to link Third Sector Organisations with each other, and with employers, by providing practical and financial support. We are aware that many groups in the Third Sector are carrying out vital work helping people to access employment or to develop the skills and confidence needed to to so. We are also in contact with employers who would like to be involved in supporting people facing barriers to employment.
We are therefore looking to support Third Sector Organisations who are currently supporting people into employment, especially those at the earlier stages of employment readiness. This offer includes grants of up to £15,000 as well as practical pro-bono support and potential links with employers (e.g. work placements). For full details, please see the Award Criteria below.
Projects must be for the benefit of people living in Leeds (Metropolitan District boundaries). Applicants may be based outside Leeds but must be able to show strong links with the area and a good understanding of local needs.
In 2016, grants of up to £15,000 were available as well as practical support. This amount may be subject to change for future rounds.
