Many individuals, families, businesses, charities and community projects were affected by the devastation caused by the Boxing Day floods. Some had to leave their homes and belongings, others lost valuable equipment and goods.
Since December 2015, the Foundation has been able to distribute £150,000 in grants to individuals, charities and community projects in Leeds and Bradford that were directly affected, although we are unfortunately not able to support private businesses. If you were directly affected but have not yet made a claim, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
We are now moving into the second phase of the programme which is funding projects that are helping with the longer-term clean-up activities and to support flood resilience initiatives as long as they have wider community benefit.
Grants of up to £20,000 will be available. We may be able to award more than this in exceptional circumstance so please do include full details of the budget in your application. The deadline for applications 21 July 2016.
