Sally-Anne Greenfield – Chief Executive (email@example.com)
Sally-Anne read Social Anthropology & Social Psychology at Cambridge before entering a career in fundraising. She has over 20 years’ experience of managing major capital projects across the north of England, and ran her own consultancy for 6 years. She joined the Foundation in 2004 as its founding Chief Executive and is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the organisation. Sally-Anne is keen on public speaking and debating, skills learnt as a member of JCI (Junior Chamber International).
Pip Goff – Grants & Programmes Director (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Pip qualified as an Occupational Therapist in Cardiff working in frontline mental health, housing and care settings in both Leeds and Bradford. She developed third sector leadership skills at Volition, completing ILM training through VAS and joining Leeds Community Foundation in 2014. Pip is committed to empowering and reshaping the third sector alongside community and statutory partners to achieve positive change in her adopted city of Leeds, where she is proud to live, work and cycle.
Kate Hainsworth – Development Director (email@example.com)
Kate read Classics at Oxford before doing management training with Total Oil GB and a London marketing consultancy. She worked in Europe (Belgium and France), and has further degrees from the Open University and Sheffield Hallam University. She returned to Leeds to work in senior cultural posts at Axis, Yorkshire Culture, and Opera North. Kate works closely with Sally-Anne on generating funds and communicating with LCF’s many supporters.
Karen Devonport – Finance Director (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Karen joined the Foundation in June 2015. She graduated in Economics from the University of Liverpool before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in Leeds. She has 25 years’ finance experience in public and private sectors in Leeds, Sheffield and Barnsley. Karen is responsible for the finance function of LCF and works alongside Sally-Anne on governance. Karen loves family time and is a season ticket holder at Barnsley FC.
Rosie Robinson Boardman – Grants Manager (email@example.com)
Rosie started her professional life as a Stage Manager, following training at Central School of Speech and Drama. She then utilised those transferable skills to work in a range of roles in the arts, third and public sectors. Her move to the Foundation in July 2015 sees her return to the third sector after 9 years in the public sector supporting a wide range of grants programmes.
Carlos Chavez – Grants Manager (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Carlos has a background in social development. He graduated from Leeds Beckett University with an MA in Urban Regeneration in 2004. Carlos joined the Foundation in 2006 and has 12 plus years of grant-making experience. He enjoys supporting charitable groups from start-up to fully developed organisations. Away from work, he loves being with his family, cooking, playing and watching football with friends and walking in the countryside.
Katharine Greathead – Grants Officer (email@example.com)
After an early career in nutrition research and science teaching, Katharine moved to Leeds 17 years ago and became increasingly involved with her local community through volunteering. She worked for national charity Heart Research UK promoting heart-healthy lifestyles and managing their health grants before joining LCF’s grants team early 2016. She is delighted to support the charity’s vision of making Leeds a healthier, happier city for all.
Amberzine McCracken – Grants Officer (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Amber started working for the Foundation in May 2015, having previously volunteered with us. She read Sociology at the University of Sheffield and has experience of ESOL teaching and sales. Her role involves processing and assessing applications, supporting community groups and measuring the impact of the Foundation’s grants work. In her spare time, Amber enjoys walking and cross stitch and has an interest in archaeology.
Jess Helyer – Grants Team Assistant (email@example.com)
Jess joined the Foundation at the start of September 2015 as an apprentice to the grants team after finishing her GCSEs in summer 2015. She supports the Grants Team as much as she can, whist working towards a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration. In her spare time, Jess likes to listen to music, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.
Matthew Roberts – Head of Business Development (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Having studied music at the University of Hull, and following a stint in the property industry down south, Matthew commenced a career in fundraising with some of the country’s leading arts organisations, including Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Opera North. He joined the Foundation in 2016 to support its business development in both Leeds and Bradford. He is a keen pianist and also enjoys running, cycling and trying his hand at DIY.
Rachel Evans – Development Officer (email@example.com)
Rachel is our Development Officer. Before joining LCF, Rachel worked as Conference Manager for Shine – a social enterprise which offers events and conference space in Leeds.
Kirsty McKinnon – Communications Manager (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Kirsty joined the team in August 2013 to lead on the Foundation’s marketing activities and build press and media relationships to raise the profile of the charity. Originally from Glasgow, she has a background in marketing and events having worked in a variety of roles within the arts, professional services and the public sector. In her spare time she likes spending time with friends and travelling whenever she can.
Sarah Millett – Finance Manager (email@example.com)
Sarah joined the Foundation as Finance Officer in October 2012. She has experience of working in finance teams across a range of business sectors, including financial services, clothing manufacturing and tourism and is studying for her CIMA accountancy qualification. Outside of work, Sarah has recently moved back to the Harrogate area and is enjoying making the most of the city, but also loves to travel and visit places both in Yorkshire and abroad.
Simone Ivatts – Executive Assistant (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Simone joined the Foundation in July 2014 after a varied career as a bookkeeper, director of a health food workers’ co-op, proof reader and musician. She is PA to Sally-Anne and office/admin manager, as well as our volunteer coordinator. Simone is a trustee of The Leeds Library, the oldest surviving subscription library of its type in the UK – she is a self-confessed ‘book nerd’ who also loves music.
