Event Celebrates a Milestone Year

In October we held our annual 100 Club Celebration Event at Bramham Park, sponsored by Sweco, which brought together Foundation supporters to hear more about our achievements this year and to launch ‘Our Story 2018/2019′

The event  highlighted what has been a great year for the Foundation, with over £4.1m in grants distributed across Leeds and Bradford, funding 634 grants and supporting over 59,000 people.

We were proud to announce that since our inception, we have distributed over  £42m in grants and supported hundreds of thousands of people in some of most deprived communities in Leeds and Bradford.

Guests heard from Neil Willis at Sweco, who talked about the importance of the private sector supporting their local communities and emphasis of national and international organisations making an impact locally by investing locally

Ailith Harley Robert from Sunshine and Smiles, a community organisation who support children and young people with Down syndrome in Leeds also spoke at the event and gave thanks to Leeds Community Foundation for their ongoing support and funding which has enabled them to offer a variety of activities such as support groups for new parents and develop their own social enterprise, Cafe 21.

Thank you to all who attended the event and for you continuous support.

Thank you also to Sweco for sponsoring this event and to First Bus West Yorkshire for providing transportation.
