Thousands Raised in 44 Talks Event
Over £2,600 raised for The Leeds Fund at #44talks
On the 20th May, motivational speaker Richard McCann took on his 44 Talks in One Day challenge; which saw him do 44 talks at various businesses across the city with all monies raised supporting The Leeds Fund.
At only five years old and on the 44th week of the year, Richard lost his mother- who was the first victim of the Yorkshire Ripper-Peter Sutcliffe. Richard overcame many problems to become a motivational speaker; conducting over 2,500 talks across the globe.
Each of the 44 talks gave an insight into Richard’s life experiences and gave all who attended a simple message; you can do anything you put your mind and effort towards, regardless of your background.
The event raised money for The Leeds Fund managed by Leeds Community Foundation to support a multitude of Leeds based projects making a difference in the city. The strategic priority for The Leeds Fund in 2019/2020 is loneliness and inclusion. With over 37,000 people affected; we are committed to supporting community based projects that build a happier, healthier and more connected city.
